What we support

WE BELIEVE the U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the
land.

WE BELIEVE in the rule of law, justice for all, and that no
one is above the law.

WE BELIEVE that all men are created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights,
that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of
happiness as stated in the Declaration of Independence.

WE BELIEVE that equality of rights under the law shall not
be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State
on account of a person’s gender, race, or religion.

WE BELIEVE in individual freedoms and that those freedoms
shall be protected.

WE BELIEVE government shall make no law prohibiting the
free exercise of, or abridging freedom of the press.

WE BELIEVE government shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of, or abridging the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

What we believe
In the spring of 2024, over fifty-five Shelby county democrats committed their time to defending freedom, justice, opportunity, equity, and empathy. Their work resulted in a restatement of Core Shelby County democratic values and beliefs.
